This is a recent portrait commission of a young boy. Smiling portraits can be difficult, but I felt this pose captured him best.

5" Squared Landscape

Now that I no longer have my website up, I've made it a new goal to be more active with my blog. This is a recent painting from the fall, a plein air I did back in late September. It is 5"x5" and I recently had it in a small works holiday show at a nearby coffee shop/art gallery. Unfortunately, it did not sell, but I am happy to hang it here at home and remember my experience painting it on location.
