So let's see, it been oh...four months since I last posted a painting. I've been very neglectful of my blog and am trying to be disciplined to post more paintings. This is a recent one of a model from my weekly figure class.
I'm short on time this summer, as both of my sons are out for the summer and require quite a bit of attention! However, I've managed to squeeze in some small still-lifes. Here is a recent one of some summer peaches.
I'm finally getting back to my own painting, now that my son's big school project is behind us. I painted this simple still life of Macintosh apples recently. I really like the color variation in that type of apple.
I hope you enjoy the painting as much as I enjoyed painting it.
I haven't had much time lately for my painting due to a school function and project I am involved with for my son's school. So, I am posting a small pastel painting I did at the Outer Banks in North Carolina last summer. I sure wish it was summer right now!
This painting, or oil sketch, is of a model "Ebony" from my Thursday night figure class. This one was hard to do. I'm not sure that I'm happy with it, but I like some aspects to it.
I did this painting awhile back - nearly a year ago to be exact. I go to a figure/portrait class every Thursday evening (one of the 'open session' - meaning no instruction - type of class). It was hard to race the clock, as I only had two hours to complete it, but it was tons of fun to paint!
This model is known to fall asleep during a pose. I'm thankful he didn't this time.
This is my first post on my new blog. This painting is a still life that I did awhile back. I sold it to one of my husband's co-workers, who loves flowers.
