This is another one of my still lifes where I continued to explore the use of reflection as a compositional device.

Pear Reflection

It's been awhile...too long actually, so I'm posting some recent artwork. Over the Christmas holidays and into January, I had an opportunity to paint some small still-lifes, which I really enjoyed. With this one, I experimented with reflection. I had a lot of fun with it!

New portrait study

So let's see, it been oh...four months since I last posted a painting. I've been very neglectful of my blog and am trying to be disciplined to post more paintings. This is a recent one of a model from my weekly figure class.

Summer Peaches

I'm short on time this summer, as both of my sons are out for the summer and require quite a bit of attention! However, I've managed to squeeze in some small still-lifes. Here is a recent one of some summer peaches.

Hyde Park Observatory

This building is near where I live and is a landmark in Hyde Park, a neighborhood in Cincinnati. It's a great observatory and unique building!

I finally have a new painting to post! This is a recent head study that I did in oil for my portrait/figure class that meets once a week.
